The health of students is paramount for learning and for worker productivity. I saw this being met by green technology solutions and the training/sensitization to give communities ownership and the ability to maintain these solutions. Travel to West Africa broadened my appreciation for other people and cultures as well as seeing that often times a small, strategic “hand up” can break a community’s felt need for seeking “hand outs.” Because of enriching travel experiences, I wanted to share that through Deeper Missions travel teams who would work alongside local workers to implement these projects.
